At the beginning of a new year, it’s always interesting to do a Tarot reading to give insight about the months ahead. I’ve created a new spread that shows what you can expect, and more importantly, what you can gain from the experiences of each month.

Shuffle your cards with the following thought in mind…
“What should I be aware of this year?”

Place two cards next to each other at the top of the spread. These cards represent significant events for January. Now place a third card over the base of the two cards. This card shows what you will gain from that situation. Continue placing cards (clockwise) in this manner until you have filled twelve spots on the circular layout as shown in the photo below. There are three cards for each month.

In the centre of your circle place three more cards. The one on the left is for the challenging influences you may have to face during the year. The centre card shows the trend for the year. The final card on the right indicates helpful influences. Place all the cards into this layout before starting the interpretation.
